Brendan Cavanagh is a physical therapist at Heritage Valley Physical Therapy. He graduated from the University of Alberta in 2006 with a Master of Science in Physical Therapy. Since then, he has gone on to pursue several post graduate courses including the Canadian Orthopedic Division Level 2 Manual Therapy and he is working towards his Certificate in Acupuncture from the Acupuncture Foundation of Canada Institute. Brendan also works at the Grey Nuns Hospital on the surgical team. He works directly with the surgeons and their patients and brings his knowledge of this area with him to the private clinic setting. Brendan's clinical areas of interest include: manual therapy, sports therapy (including golf rehabilitation), Physical Therapy student education, and rehabilitation specific to the knee.
Brendan also has Bachelor of Physical Education and Bachelor of Education degrees with distinction. Prior to completing his Physical Therapy degree he enjoyed teaching junior high school physical education and coaching a number of school sports. He is an avid hockey player with an extensive background in this sport and has had success rehabilitating a variety of sports related injuries.
